All full-time students are asked to be at school by 8:30 a.m. 4K students should be here by 7:30 a.m.. Please notify the school before 7:30 a.m. if your child will be absent that day. You are required to pay full tuition weekly regardless of attendance for the school to hold their slot for your child. If the school is not notified and your child misses ten (10) consecutive days they will be dropped from the enrollment list and you will be responsible for resolving any outstanding accounts immediately.
The School accepts children from eight (8) weeks to 4K years of age.
In case of severe weather, snow storms, etc., the school may be closed. In this case, school closing will be aired on WLTX 19 TV Station & WIS TV Channel 10, REMIND and email.
If symptoms of illness are observed, the parent will be notified as quickly as possible to pick the child up from the school. In order to return the parent must bring a doctor’s statement or keep the child out until he/she is well. If a child is sent home with a fever, diarrhea, excessive vomiting, or pink eye, they must be out for 24 hours/ the following day before returning to school. In the event of an accident parents/guardians will be contacted immediately and necessary actions will be taken to provide child with proper care.
If your child is on medication and needs it while at the school, a designated office staff member can administer medications
prescribed by a Doctor ONLY. Provided you have signed a permission slip for medication to be given to the child and it does not exceed the dosage amount prescribed. All medications must come in original packaging, and can only be given based on the medication direction written by the Doctor.
The school does not distribute any home/cell telephone numbers, addresses, business telephone numbers, or general information concerning parents to other parents or outside inquiries without the expressed permission of the parent or guardian concerned with the exception of that required by our regulatory and partnering agencies. All records concerning children at our program are confidential and kept locked and secured.
It is required that the JMBC Christian and Academic School have on file for each child the following records:
- Application for Enrollment
- Immunizations
- Medication Form
- Eligibility Form
- Disciplinary Form
Your child will only be released to you or those persons you have listed as Emergency and Release Contacts. If you want a person who is not identified as an Emergency and Release Contact to pick up your child, you must notify us in advance. Your child will not be released without authorization. The person picking up your child must be 18 years of age and will be required to show a picture ID as verification & or provide us with the family password. Please notify your pick up person of our policy. The school has the right to refuse pick up for the safety of our students.
It is required by the Department of Social Services that the school schedules at least one to one and a half hours of rest time each day for infants through pre-school students and 4K 35-45 minutes of rest time. Each child's needs a twin flat sheet. Each child's belongings should be marked clearly with his/her name. Parents are required to bring crib sheets for cribs, weekly. Linen should be picked up each Friday for cleaning and returned on Monday.
JMBC has an open door policy
We ask that you follow the procedures listed below:
- Notify the receptionist of your plan to visit upon arrival.
- Sign your name, etc. in the visitor's log.
- Wear the visitor's pass given to you by the receptionist.
- Go to your child's classroom and observe through the window in the hallway. (We ask that you do not enter the classroom or engage the teacher in discussion at this time.) If you wish to speak with your child, ask the teacher to bring your child to the hallway.
- Visits are limited.
- If you would like to have a conference with the teacher, please allow the receptionist to help you plan one or two times that will be convenient for you and you will be notified of the meeting time as soon as possible.
- Please sign out at the end of your visit.
A written notice of 2 weeks in advance is required by the school. Failure to notify can result in charges for those weeks.
Food prepared for or at the school will be properly planned, prepared and portioned according to the Child and Adult Food Program and the state requirements for food service. All foods posted on menu must be served to the children unless authorization has been given to alter meal.
We request that you do not bring food from home into our school.
- Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
- Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- Snack - 2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Infants have separate menus that are prepared based on the same guidelines. All parents must have a signed infant statement on file.
Washable everyday wear is recommended. Two complete changes of clothes should be kept at the school for students eight weeks – through two years old in your child’s cubby in case of accidents. Students three years and up are asked to wear uniforms. (Navy or khaki bottoms, white, yellow or navy shirts with dark closed toe shoes). Please mark all belongings with your child's name to prevent loss and to insure speedy retrieval in case of misplaced items.

We will allow students to have a birthday party at the school. Parties are held at a specific time that will be discussed during request. All food items must be approved and in original wrapping. Please give the office at least 2 weeks for approval if possible.
